How to Reach Tibet

Tibet, or especially the Lhasa is connected by Air transport from many places, and Nepal (Kathmandu). Tibet is connected with overland from Nepal as well. It is easy to travel to Tibet from Nepal when we compare it with traveling from other countries.

All our Tibet tours package are based on entry and exit from Kathmandu. We arrange an overland tour to Tibet – Lhasa and Tibet-Lhasa tour by flight from and to Kathmandu.

Best Time to Travel Tibet

The Climate is not such a major consideration when you plan to travel to Tibet. Being nicknamed the Land of snow there is a surprising lack of snow in Lhasa. It is cold during the winter months; however, it is still possible to travel to Lhasa and do some tours around.

The time of the spring from April till November is the best time to travel to Tibet, and you can do only some city tours in winter in Tibet.

Tibet/China visa information

The China/Tibet visa information is subject to change every time, and it depends on whether you join the trip in Kathmandu or China. If you are starting a Tibet tour in Kathmandu you need a multiple entry visa for Nepal which can be obtained either from your nearest Nepalese Embassy/consulate or on arrival at Kathmandu airport.

Cultural program in Tibet

We organize a China/Tibet tourist visa for you once you book the Tibet tour with us. You need to send a color scan copy of your passport at least 20 days before the commencement of your trip, followed by your actual passport five days before the visa issuing days. If you are entering mainland China you have to obtain a Chinese visa from your home country.

Accommodation in Tibet

Tibet offers all the categories of accommodation, and it depends on where you want to tour Tibet. Mostly Lhasa, Lhasa is the capital of Tibet, and all the categories of hotels are available in Lhasa from budget hotels to 5-star standard hotels.

There are only basic hotel accommodations, and no other options to upgrade your accommodation in other places in Tibet like we use on Kathmandu to Lhasa overland tour, Tibet Everest Base camp tour, or Kailash Mansarovar tour.
