Amazing 1st Trek
I arrived in Nepal with no plans to go on a trek. But then it didn’t make sense to come to Nepal and not go on a trek! We did some research and the reviews for Himalaya Outfitters were good. We didn’t have much time, so we decided to do the 3-day Poon Hill trek. It was absolutely incredible! Our guide, Pralad, was really nice. He always made sure we were enjoying our meals and the overall hike.
I unfortunately had altitude sickness closer to the top of a Poon Hill, but when we were at our hotel, Pralad brought me an extra blanket and told me that I could knock on his door any time. He always wanted to make sure I felt comfortable. It’s the small things that really made the experience great (even in the unexpected circumstances). It was definitely a challenging trek, but I would highly recommend Himalaya Outfitters to anyone wanting to do a trek!
Nepal has always held a certain fascination for me and I am so very thankful that I was blessed to visit her and meet some fine people.
I cannot thank you enough for having been such a terrific guide … you are knowledgeable (a definite credit to your profession) and observe a strict code of professional ethics (when you chose not to join us while trekking in Chitwan out of respect for Dev, the other guide).
But more importantly, you took very good care of us. You considered my suggestion to do one of the treks in “reverse” while we were in Pokhara taking into consideration that some of us may have found it tricky to stick to the original plan and I was most thankful and appreciative of your sensitivity.
My time in Nepal was made more enjoyable and memorable largely due to you, Ramesh … you did make a difference! I must also thank Raju for his excellent driving and cheerful manner … you both make a great team. Please do tell Raju that I asked of him and wish him and his family all the very best… I am sure little Arss will grow up to be a fine person like his father.
Well, Ramesh, it was a pleasure meeting you … one of Nepal’s finest tour guides.
Do know that I think very kindly of you, am very proud of you and wish you and your loved ones all the very best in life … much happiness, good health, success and peace of mind.
Thank you for treasured memories, Ramesh; take care, stay safe and God Bless!!!
With fond regards
Best Photography Tour in Nepal
I thought the trip was a real adventure and fantastic! Road works were in progress and we took longer to travel between places but those who flew definitely missed out on "the real experience". The driver and guides were very helpful and informative and I felt sorry for the driver having to have such long days skillfully navigating traffic.
We were lucky to see plenty of wildlife in Chitwan and it was rather special to have a rhino right beside the road. Our guide in Chitwan was very knowledgeable and helpful and the accommodation was fantastic. It was great to experience the Cultural show. Our city guide in Kathmandu was also very knowledgeable and helpful, as was our main guide.
Having 2 groups of 10 passengers was a great idea as we were able to get to know each other well and it was a good number for the guides/driver to handle. It was unfortunate, though, that our main guide was not present at the farewell dinner. I felt that the whole trip was organised well.
I think it a great idea that we were able to see the sunrise over the Annapurna Range and the Everest flight was also great.
Poon Hill Trek
I can’t speak anymore highly for this company and our trek. Everything was taken care of, even special requests for alternate transport to different locations. The guides were brilliant and the porters were so friendly. We even met the owner at the end of our trek to make sure everything was what we expected. I will be using this company again when I do EBC next year
Langtang Valley Trek
This was an amazing trek. So scenic and beautiful - blew our minds. Saw monkey's and deer in the jungle. The tea houses and guest houses were clean and offered delicious food. Our guide Bhim and porter Ramesh were the best - great sense of humour plus really supportive and helpful. The first days trek was really hard so I suggest practising steps after that it's very manageable.
Can't recommend thus trek highly enough!
Poon Hill Trek Review
We chose Outfitter Himalaya trekking company after doing our research on trekking companies and we were not disappointed. Arjun was extremely hospitable and patient with our numerous questions.
The 5-day trek was altered to 3-day for our convenience. Ra was a wonderful guide and most commendable was the effort he put into encouraging our daughter who had quite enough at the early sunrise trek up Poon Hill.
Thank you team and highly recommended
Outfitter Himalaya: An excellent company for Everest High Passes Trek
We are just back from a trekking holiday with Outfitter and can only endorse the comments made by all other reviewers. From the first email to Arjun, requesting details of possible trips, to our final drop-off at the airport at 5 am everything went as smoothly as clockwork.
Our inward flight was delayed by 6 hours due to fog at Kathmandu Airport. We had further delays due to the large numbers queuing for visas. Despite these long delays as soon as we emerged from the airport, we spotted our pick-up. We have no idea how long he had to wait around for us, but he was a most welcome sight! This attention to detail was replicated in all our experiences on the tour.
Our guide and his two assistants did everything to make our trek as enjoyable as possible. The accommodation, meals, the pace of the trek, etc. - were all excellent. As we had a spare day at the end of our trek, the company organized a tour of Bhaktapur and Patan.
For anyone considering a trip to Nepal, no matter what their particular needs are, we would without hesitation recommend Outfitter as the best tour/trekking company.
