Updated Nepal Travel Protocol 2022

We at Outfitter Himalaya are happy to inform you that Nepal is now open for travel and tourism activities and the Government of Nepal has updated the Nepal Travel protocol for all travelers traveling to Nepal. All previous notices, travel protocols, and visa procedures have been revoked.

Nepal tourist visa now is available at the entry point of Nepal whether you enter Nepal overland or by air, and the new and updated travel protocol and visa procedures are as below:

For Fully Vaccinated Travelers

  • Vaccination Certificate with proof of 14 days after the last dose
  • Proof of hotel booking in Kathmandu

Nepal Entry Protocal Information in Chart

For Non-Vaccinated Travelers

  • Pre visa approval or Visa issued by Nepalese diplomatic missions or embassy in your country
  • RT-PCR negative test issued within 72 hours or less before you take the first flight to Nepal
  • Proof of hotel booking in Kathmandu

For Passenger going to other countries from Nepal

For the passengers going to other countries by air route in Nepal, The Airlines have to have to inform their passengers about the health protocol related to COVID-19 in the destination country. The passenger should submit and follow the required document & travel protocols of the destination country described by the airline.
