Among all the trekking packages in the Annapurna region, we love the Ghorepani Ghandruk Trek 4 Days because this trek offers a lot in a very short period and under 3,500 meters. Therefore, Ghorepani Ghandruk trekking is also a fantastic opportunity for trekkers looking for a low-altitude trek.

A short trekking package in the famous Annapurna region

There are only a handful of short treks in Nepal that are equally adventurous as two-week-long treks. And Ghorepani Ghandruk Trekking is one of them. A four days trip that lets you make lifelong memories and presents an unbelievable mountain panorama. What makes this trek even more special is its trail, which is gentle yet adventurous.

Trek in the Annapurna Conservation Area

The Annapurna Conservation Area is one of the biggest protected areas in Nepal. Home to an uncountable number of flora and fauna species, the trail encompasses some sections of this conservation. Encounters with wildlife are high too. Likewise, other elements like rushing rivers, cascading waterfalls, streams, dense forests, rough foothills, terraces, etc make the walk pleasing.

    Spend nights in beautiful villages

We have the most beautiful overnight stays during the Ghorepani and Ghandruk Trek 4 Days. You'll spend nights in the villages like Tikhedhunga, Ghorepani, and Tadapani. The Ghorepani village is particularly known for its beauty. Located amidst rhododendron forests, the village offers a sensational mountain panorama.

Witness the gorgeous sunrise from Poon Hill

Poon hill is a famous viewpoint in the lower Annapurna region and is often visited by travelers. Located above Ghorepani village at 3,210 meters, the viewpoint lets you see a glorious sunrise with Himalayan mountains in the backdrop. A kind of scenery that will melt your heart and spark brilliance inside you.

Have a peek into rich mountain culture & lifestyle

Another incredible thing about this trek is all the interactions with the locals along the way. The trail goes through many villages resided by people of several communities. So, you have a chance to see the diverse culture and traditions.

Similarly, you often come across stupas and temples on the way. The lifestyle of the people in mountains and the way they have made it fulfilling in the absence of modern advancement will teach you a lot about simple living.

Walk past the popular Ghandruk village

Suited 32 km west of Pokhara at 2,012 meters, Ghandruk is a beautiful village. It is mostly resided by Gurung and Magars. The trail ascends and descends through dense forests of oak, pine, rhododendron, etc. You'll walk by many villages and small settlements. On the first day, the trail ascends to Tikhedhunga (1,480 m). It's a relatively gentle walk via terraces, waterfalls, and rivers.

You'll cross suspension bridges and walk past villages like Ulleri (2,070 m) and Nangethanti (2,510 m). The next day brings the exciting hike to Poon Hill (3,210 m), the major highlight of the Ghorepani Ghandruk trek.

The hike is not that long, but the terrain is steep and rough. Once reaching Poon hill, spectacular stretching views of the western Himalayas and gorgeous sunrise will bless your eyes. After enjoying the views, the trail descends to Tadapani (2,630 m) for a night stay.

Now, you are at the end phase of the trek. It's time to walk to Ghandruk village, following the gentle slopes of Bhise Kharka. We spend some time in this village and continue the walk to Kimche (1,550 m), where the trek ends, and you'll drive back to Pokhara.
