Introduction to the Nepal Summer Tour - 9 Days

Nepal Summary Tour -9 Days is a thoughtfully designed package for travelers who want to experience the true essence of Nepal without rushing in the summer season. The Short journey in moonson in Nepal connects Nepal's cultural heart, lush hill villages, Himalayan viewpoints, and wildlife-rich jungles into one smooth and rewarding adventure.

You will explore from the living heritage of Kathmandu Valley's UNESCO World Heritage Sites to peaceful forest trails linking Sundarijal, Chisapani, and Nagarkot in this short Nepal Summer Tour. The short hikes offer breathtaking hilltop views, sunrise moments over the Himalayas, and authentic village encounters, perfect for travelers seeking nature without extreme trekking.

The Short trek from Sundarijal to Chisapani and Nagarkot is gentle yet rewarding, making it a perfect hike for the summer. These elevated hill stations offer fresh air, misty mornings, panoramic mountain scenery, and golden sunsets, an ideal contrast to the monsoon-season lowlands. The walk to Changu Narayan Temple, one of Nepal's oldest Hindu temples, adds a meaningful cultural dimension to the trekking experience.

After the hills, the tour transitions to the lush lowlands and subtropical plains of southern Nepal, for an immersive visit to Chitwan National Park, where dense jungles, riverbanks, and open grasslands reveal a completely different side of Nepal. There are wildlife activities that let you spot rhinos, crocodiles, deer, exotic birds, and, if lucky, the elusive Bengal tiger. Here, you'll trade mountain air for wildlife safaris, canoe rides, and cultural performances by the indigenous Tharu community, rounding out the tour with a sense of adventure and discovery.

Kathmandu is a valley, and summer in this city is not as scorching as in the country's Terai part (plains). The temperature stays under 30° C-32° C on sweltering days. However, in Terai, temperatures often exceed 40° C, making it unbearable to be in that part of the country.

Designed as a summer-friendly Nepal Tour, this itinerary avoids extreme altitudes and long travel days, focuses on cooler regions and shaded trails, and balances activity with comfort. Whether you are a first-time visitor, a family traveller, or someone seeking short trekking and wildlife experiences without committing to a long expedition, the Nepal Summary Tour-9 Days delivers a complete snapshot of Nepal's natural beauty, culture, and adventure.

This tour runs smoothly throughout the summer season. It is one of the best short summer tours in Nepal, offering variety, comfort, and memorable experiences in just over a week, perfect for travelers who want to see Nepal's highlights without rushing.

You'll explore iconic heritage sites such as Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), perched on a hilltop with panoramic city views and historic palace squares rich with art, mythology, and living traditions. The blend of Hindu and Buddhist spirituality makes Kathmandu an unforgettable cultural immersion.

Sundarijal to Chisapani: Enter the Green Himalayas

We have combined a short 2-day trek to take you away from the city's sounds and let you unwind and rejuvenate in nature. The trekking route is undisturbed and lovely. Leaving the city behind, you step into nature at Sundarijal, the gateway to Shivapuri National Park.

Shivapuri National Park is a protected area in Nepal, and it offers a variety of hiking and trekking trails, including an adventurous route that leads from the park to the Chisapani village.

This summer trek winds through shaded forests, waterfalls, stone staircases, and rural settlements. The air grows cooler as you climb, and the greenery is at its peak. Reaching Chisapani, you're rewarded with fresh mountain air, quiet surroundings, and distant Himalayan silhouettes, an ideal escape from summer heat.

Chisapani to Nagarkot: Sunrise, Silence, and Scenic Trails

This gentle trek continues along forest ridges and village paths to Nagarkot, Nepal's famous hill station. Nagarkot is a hill station known for its breathtaking views and is a popular destination for visitors who witness sunrise over the Himalayas.

Summer clouds often clear in the early morning, revealing spectacular views of Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and, on clear days, even Everest. Nagarkot is perfect for relaxation, cool temperatures, open skies, and unforgettable sunrise moments.

Changu Narayan Temple: Ancient Spiritual Heritage

Descending from Nagarkot, you visit Changu Narayan Temple, an UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest temples in Nepal. It is believed to have been built in the 4th century AD. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu and features intricate carvings and sculptures on its walls and pillars.

Surrounded by traditional villages, stone inscriptions, and pagoda-style architecture, this sacred site offers a peaceful cultural experience and insight into Nepal's ancient Hindu history.

Chitwan National Park: Wildlife and Jungle Adventures

The Tour then heads south to the subtropical lowlands of Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Asia's finest wildlife reserves. Summer transforms the park into a lush jungle paradise.

Here you'll enjoy:

  • Jeep safari through dense sal forests and grasslands
  • Canoe ride on the Rapti River, spotting crocodiles and birds
  • Guided jungle walks with expert naturalists
  • Opportunities to see one-horned rhinoceros, deer, monkeys, wild boar, and, if lucky, the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger
  • Evenings are relaxed and cultural, often featuring Tharu community performances that showcase indigenous traditions.
