Kathmandu: Caputal city of Nepal

In Kathmandu, you will visit tourist sites like Swayambhunath Temple, also known as the Monkey Temple. The tour also takes you to historical sites like the holy Pashupatinath temple and the Bouddhanath Stupa.

It is the largest stupa in Nepal. One of the main aspects of sightseeing in Kathmandu is visiting the Durbar Squares- Kathmandu Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

All of these durbar squares are old royal palaces resided by some of the great kings & queens in Nepal.

Pokhara: Tourism Capital of Nepal

Pokhara is the second-biggest city in Nepal. It is a beautiful city with lakes, caves, and waterfalls.

Here, you will catch stunning mountain views from Sarangkot and visit tourist sites like Davis Fall, Peace Pagoda, Gupteshwor Cave, Phewa Lake, etc. You will have a great time in Pokhara.

Chitwan National Park

Chitwan takes you close to wildlife. You explore the deep jungle here and go on a jeep safari. The Chitwan National Park used to be the hunting ground of the royals of Nepal back in the day.

It has become one of Nepal's most sought-after tourist destinations for wild activities. You can go on safaris, canoeing, deep forest walking, bird watching, and touring indigenous villages.

Tibet

Lhasa

The Nepal Tibet Tour combines three nights and two full days in Lhasa. Here, you explore many historical sites like palaces and monasteries. The summer retreat of Dalai Lama, Norbulingka Palace, showcases the precise wood carvings and paintings.

In Sera Monastery, you get to see a tempting debate session between the monks and the gorgeous rose garden of the monastery. You then visit the Jokhang Temple to learn in-depth about Tibetan culture and do shopping at Barkhor market. The tour then leads you to the famous Potala Palace and Drepung monastery.

Nepal Tibet Tour itinerary brief

The Nepal Tibet Tour begins in Nepal's capital, Kathmandu, also known as the city of temples. You spend two full days exploring different UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The tour will have an experienced tour guide who will give you the perfect introduction to Nepali art, architecture, history, and culture.

Then, you will head to Pokhara, the city of lakes and gateway to the famous Annapurna region. Here, you will spend two nights and visit tourist sites such as lakes, caves, waterfalls, and museums.

The drive to Sarangkot will allow you to witness a striking panorama of mountains, including the Annapurna range (8,091 m), Fishtail (6,993 m), Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), and Lamjung Himal (6,983 m).

After Pokhara, it is time to spend some time in the jungle and come across wild animals. You will follow a scenic route to Chitwan.

On the day you reach Chitwan, we want to keep it relaxing, so the tour guide will take you to a village resided by an indigenous group called Tharu. You will have a great time watching their traditional stick dance.

The following day, we did many activities like a jeep safari, canoeing, bird watching, etc., in Chitwan National Park.

You will then drive back to Kathmandu and spend a whole day sightseeing Bhaktapur Durbar Square before flying to Lhasa, Tibet. In Tibet, our representative will take care of all of your needs. You will have an incredible time here.

You have two full days in Lhasa to visit the monuments and explore the city. You will be exploring the palaces, monasteries, and local markets. Tibet will showcase its centuries-old practices, beliefs, and stunning beauty.

You will taste Tibetan dishes and learn about the lifestyle of the locals. Then, on the 13th day of the Nepal Tibet Tour, you will fly back to Kathmandu, and the next morning, you will take a return flight to your home.

We meet you at the Tribhuvan International Airport. The team will welcome you and then transfer you to the hotel.

We use a private four-wheeler to commute, so it'll be comfortable. The remaining day is free. You can take your time to explore the bustling streets of Thamel.

The day begins early. We'll assign an experienced tour guide to take you to multiple historical sites in Kathmandu.

This tour is a great way to kick-start your trip to Nepal. You will visit monuments like the Monkey Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhnath Stupa.

The tour will give you a deep insight into Nepalese history and culture. Explore the local market and return to the hotel for lunch.

After lunch (in the late afternoon), we will meet you in the office of Outfitter Himalaya and discuss the rest of the trip.

The tour guide will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel lobby. After leaving Kathmandu, you will head towards Pokhara, the beautiful city of lakes and gateway to the Annapurna region.

The ride will be very comfortable and scenic. Lush green hills, rivers, mountains, and occasional waterfalls will make the journey pleasant.

Upon reaching Pokhara, take some time to relax in your hotel. You will have a free evening to explore the shore of tranquil Phewa Lake, where you can boat. And the lively Lakeside Market will make the evening even better.

We have a full day of the tour in Pokhara today. We begin the morning driving to Sarangkot. You can see many paragliders in the sky.

From Sarangkot, we can see stunning views of mountains like the Annapurna Range, Dhaulagiri, Fishtail, and Lamjung Himal. We then Hike to Nadauda, which takes about 3 hours. We then drive to Pokhara and visit the Bindhyabasini temple on the way back.

Pokhara has enough to give, and spending only one day will be unfair. So, we have added another day in Pokhara today.

Today, you will cross Phewa Lake by boat and hike to Peace Stupa. We will then visit Gupteshwor Cave and Davis Falls.

We leave Pokhara on this day and follow a well-made road to Chitwan. Chitwan takes you close to the jungle and wild animals.

The ride will be long but packed with striking landscapes. It will be late afternoon by the time we reach Chitwan.

After taking some time off to freshen up and relax, we head to Tharu village. Tharu is an indigenous group in Nepal.

We'll see their intriguing stick dance in their vibrant traditional clothes here. After the short tour of the village, return to the hotel for a good night's sleep.

We have a full day in Chitwan today. We'll visit the Chitwan National Park early in the morning and spend the day doing various thrilling activities.

First, we go on a jeep safari to see animals such as elephants, one-horn rhinos, deer, tigers, bears, and peacocks.

Later, we'll visit the elephant breeding center. One of the activities many tourists love to do is play with water with an elephant.

Explore other parts of the national park and return to the hotel.

Wake up early in the morning today if you want to go bird-watching. After breakfast, we pack up our luggage and leave for Kathmandu. The drive will be smooth.

Upon reaching Kathmandu, we will leave you in front of your hotel. Spend the remaining day resting and shopping in Thamel.

You can visit the Durbar Marg nearby or the Garden of Dreams, located at the entrance of Thamel.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square is one of the must-visit tourist sites in Kathmandu.

One of our representatives will pick you up from the hotel as per your flight departure time. The flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa will be phenomenal.

You will enjoy some of the best aerial views of the unseen Himalayas. Upon landing at the Lhasa airport, our representative in Tibet will pick you up and assist you throughout your time in Tibet.

We reach the central city in 45 minutes from the airport by car. The tour guide will drop you off at the hotel.

Enjoy a delicious Tibetan breakfast and meet the tour guide later. We will drive to Norbulingka Palace, a summer retreat of the Dalai Lama built in 1956.

The palace is decorated with precise wood carvings and paintings. We then head toward the famous Sera monastery, built in 1419.

Beautiful roses and greenery decorate the surroundings of the monastery.

From there, we will visit Jokhang Temple to learn more about Tibetan culture. The end of the day will be at Barkhor Market.

The day begins early, and the tour guide will accompany you to Potala Palace. It is one of the main highlights of the Tibet tour.

The Potala Palace shows impressive Tibetan architecture and stores numerous art and antiques dating back centuries. From here, our next point is the Drepung monastery.

It is a big monastery with over 10,000 monks & nuns. We'll attend the chanting ceremony and later drive back to the hotel. Spend the remaining evening shopping and chilling.

The Nepal-Tibet—12-day tour is easy and suitable for everyone. There are no hectic walks and no altitude gain, which means no risk of high-altitude sickness, as it is mostly city tours in Tibet and Lhasa. So, anyone can do this Nepal Tibet Tour.

Best time to go on the Nepal-Tibet Tour

You can go on the Nepal-Tibet tour throughout the year. However, April to August and September to November are the most preferred times of the year to do the Nepal-Tibet Tour.

We provide 13 nights' accommodation in a 3-star hotel on the Nepal-Tibet tour, and you get all the modern facilities and services in these hotels. The rooms are spacious, well-furnished, and clean, with a private washroom.

There is also an option to upgrade hotels on the tour as there are 4–5-star luxury hotels available for this tour, and we can book those hotels if you want an upgrade at extra cost.

Visa for Nepal - Tibet Tour

Nepal Visa

A tourist visa to travel to Nepal is required and not included in our package. So, you need to apply and get it yourself.

You can apply for and get a Nepal visa upon arrival at Kathmandu airport or use it from the Nepal embassy/consulate office in your country/region.

China Visa

A China visa is required to travel to Tibet and is included in our price. We (Outfitter Himalaya) apply for a China visa as you need to travel only through a travel agency.

We need a color-scanned copy of your passport a month before the tour date and your passport for at least four business days to apply for and get a visa to Tibet.

Extra and Optional tour packages

There are some tours that you can add to the Nepal Tibet Tour. As such, you can do the Everest Mountain Flight Tour on the morning of day two before the tour starts, and this tour does not require any extra day.
