Spirit of Nepal Tour itinerary
Upon arrival at Kathmandu airport, representatives of Outfitter Himalaya will pick you up and escort you to the hotel. You will most likely stay in a safe and friendly hotel in Thamel. Enjoy the night exploring the lively alleys of Thamel. You will spend two nights in Kathmandu before heading toward Pokhara.
On the second day, you will visit Kathmandu's UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then, on the third day, we'll drive to Pokhara, the city of lakes, following a scenic route in a comfortable private tourist vehicle. You can see green hills, rivers, terraces, and waterfalls on the way. Spend the evening of the day you arrive in Pokhara strolling on Lakeside Market and enjoying the sunset at Phewa Lake. You will have two full days in Pokhara to hike to Naudanda and visit the tourist sites.
The Spirit of Nepal tour then takes you to Chitwan. Here, you explore Chitwan National Park, which decade ago was a hunting ground for royals. You also visit Tharu village, an indigenous community. Their famous stick dance and vibrant outfits will magnify your tour experience. You can wear the attire too and pay some money if you wish. Then comes the wild part, a jeep safari in a deep jungle to witness exotic wildlife and birds.
On the eighth day of the tour, you also do other activities in Chitwan National Park and drive back to Kathmandu. You will have ample time to shop in all three cities and buy souvenirs. We have added one more full day in Kathmandu before you fly back home.
Major attractions during the Spirit of Nepal Tour
Kathmandu- The Cultural Capital of Nepal
In Kathmandu, you will go on a guided sightseeing of historical sites and museums. The tour begins with a ride to Swayambhunath temple, the Monkey Temple. The site offers an excellent aerial view of Kathmandu. Then we head to the Patan Durbar Squire, a city of arts.
Then, you will visit the Durbar Square, the Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. These places used to be royal residences but now serve as open museums. The Durbar squares say a lot about Nepal's history and culture.
Pokhara- The Tourism Capital of Nepal
Pokhara is a great city in which to live. Its tempting balance of modern comforts and nature lets you see mountains and green hills right before you whenever you go out. On the day you arrive in Pokhara, spend time relaxing at the shore of Phewa Lake. You can also boat on it and relish the gorgeous sunsets.
You then spend the next full day exploring the city. You start with a drive to Sarangkot. Follow a gentle trail through lush forests and farmlands to Naudanda from here. It is around a three-hour walk. This part of the Spirit of Nepal tour also lets you witness stunning views of western Himalayan mountains such as Fishtail (6,993 m), Annapurna (8,091 m), Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Lamjung Himal (6,983 m), and many others.
The next day, you will boat at Phewa Lake and hike to the World Peace Stupa. You will see a view of Pokhara, the Lake, and the Himalayas. You then visit Davis Falls and Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave.
Chitwan- UNESCO Natural Heritage
Chitwan, where you meet one-horn rhinos, elephants, birds, and diverse species of plants. You spend a couple of nights in Chitwan and get close to wildlife. We take to a village of an indigenous community, Tharus. They will show you their stick dance in vibrant traditional clothes. You will spend one full day in Chitwan National Park doing activities like jeep safari, elephant bathing, deep jungle walking, canoeing, and bird watching.
This part of the tour will let you enjoy forests and earthy smells. You spend nights in beautiful resorts or hotels. The surrounding area is chillier in Chitwan than in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

Our team will welcome you at the Tribhuvan International Airport on your arrival day in Kathmandu. We use a private vehicle to escort you to the hotel and brief you about the day program.
We have nothing much planned on this day. Depending on your flight landing time, you'll have plenty of time to rest and unpack. Well, I would like to introduce you to the tour guide too. End the day exploring the lively streets of Thamel.
Wake up with a delicious breakfast. The guide will be in your hotel lobby around 9–10 am with a car/van and driver to pick you up. You'll visit a few monuments with a guide and learn about Nepal's architecture, art, and history.
All the historical sites you will visit today are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. So, we begin the tour by visiting Swayambhunath temple, the famous Monkey temple. Located at the top of a hill, it offers an excellent aerial view of Kathmandu. From here, we drive to Patan Durbar Squiare.
The tour ends in Patan Durbar Square, a royal residence now serving as an open museum. Here, we explore palaces, courtyards, and shrines.
Today, we have a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. We'll leave Kathmandu early morning and drive along the Trishuli River. The Kathmandu Pokhara route is beautiful.
The road is well-made. Therefore, the ride will be comfortable. The green hills, terraces, and occasional waterfalls will make the journey enchanting. While approaching Pokhara, you will also witness snow-capped mountains. In the late afternoon and evening, you will have free time. We recommend exploring Phewa Lake and catching a sunset view over It.
Like Thamel, the Lakeside market is a tourist area full of bustle, so you'll have a great time.
We'll wake up early and drive to Sarangkot. Following a gentle forested trail, we'll hike to Naudanda and visit a monastery. We can see stunning views of mountains like Lamjung Himal, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, etc. Later, we descend through lush forests. On the way back, we will visit Bindhyabisini temple.
We have another full day in Pokhara. Begin the day leisurely and visit the remaining tourist sites, including the Peace Stupa. We boat at Phewa Lake, cross the Lake, and hike to Peace Stupa. On our way back to the hotel, we visit Davis Falls and Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave.
After a big breakfast, we leave Pokhara and drive to Chitwan. The route to Chitwan is beautiful. The lush green hills, terrace fields, rivers, and occasional waterfalls make the ride soothing. Upon reaching Chitwan, we drop you at the hotel/resort. You will have some time to rest and freshen up before we visit Tharu village.
Tharu is one of the most genuine communities in Nepal, and it has a rich cultural heritage. We visit the village to learn about its culture and lifestyle. They will welcome us with their fascinating stick dance in vibrant traditional clothes. After the event, we'll drive back to the hotel to spend the night.
The day begins early, and we go to Chitwan National Park. First, we will go on a jeep safari. During the jungle safari, we may see wildlife like one-horn rhinos, elephants, wild boars, royal Bengal tigers, deer, and peacocks.
We then visited the elephant breeding center and bathed with them. We also offer canoeing and deep jungle walks.
Wake up early in the morning to catch a gorgeous sunrise. After breakfast, we leave Chitwan and drive back to Kathmandu. It will be a 6 to 7 hour ride. The views will be comforting along the way. Once we reach Kathmandu, the team will drop you at the hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day unpacking, relaxing, and shopping.
Today is your last full day in Kathmandu. In the morning, we will spend visiting Bhaktapur Durbar Square. It will be a guided tour. You will explore the palaces, shrines, and courtyards. You will see intricate architecture and get to know the Newari community closely.
Later in the day, we will window shop in Thamel and visit the local market. In the late evening, we will have a farewell dinner.
The Spirit of Nepal tour comes to an end. Our airport team will drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport according to your flight schedule time and bid you a last goodbye. You can also extend your trip with us to Nepal.
