Manaslu region is a remote part of the Himalayas in Nepal. Regarding tourist infrastructure, the trekking route is not developed like the Everest and Annapurna. The facilities on Manaslu trekking are minimal. You will get a decent room to spend the night and delicious food to fuel your journey.
Some trekkers also do only the Tsum Valley trek without the Manaslu Circuit and all these trekking routes have similar accommodation. The higher elevation in the region has fewer services than the villages at lower elevation of the Manaslu Trek.
Tea house or the Guest house accommodation is famous in the Manaslu region. All Manaslu trek routes have tea house accommodation, one of the most common accommodations in the Himalayas. This blog will describe accommodations along the Manaslu trek route.
Accommodation Options in Manaslu Trekking
A few years ago, camping was the only option for the Manaslu trekking in Nepal. However, as the region became popular and saw many trekkers, many tea houses were opened along the trekking routes to accommodate them. Today, the Manaslu Trekking is widely known as a tea house trek.
Tea houses/Guest Houses/Trekking Lodges in Manaslu Trekking Route
Tea houses provide basic but comfortable rooms with a variety of bedding arrangements. Most rooms have twin beds with blankets. The room is not heat-insulated. However, communal dining areas where trekkers can relax, socialize, and enjoy meals are typically heated with stoves to combat the cold mountain temperatures.
Washrooms are usually shared, and additional services like charging, WiFi, hot showers, etc are available and usually cost extra money. While tea houses offer shared rooms with multiple beds, some have single rooms, which are available at a higher cost.

Facilities in the Tea Houses along the Manaslu trekking
Note: The availability and quality of facilities can change as you ascend higher into the mountains. Famous tea house stops offer better amenities, while those in remote areas may have more basic facilities. You have to be flexible and adapt to your surroundings.
WiFi in Manaslu Trekking
WiFi availability varies along the Manaslu trail. Some tea houses have limited and often slow WiFi connections, which can incur additional costs.
However, at higher altitudes and more remote areas, the availability of WiFi may be limited or nonexistent. Getting a Nepali tourist sim to use data is better than WiFi.
Many tea houses offer hot showers for an additional fee. The cost of hot showers may vary from place to place. Upon arrival at each tea house, inquire about the availability and cost of hot showers.
Single room
Tea houses typically offer shared rooms with multiple beds, which can vary in size. Single rooms are available in some tea houses but are often limited and may be more expensive than shared accommodations.
Charging
Tea houses along the Manaslu Trek provide charging facilities for electronic devices. These are often available in common areas. Be prepared for a small fee for charging services. Ensure you bring appropriate plug adapters and chargers for your devices. Likewise, carry spare batteries or a power bank for backup.
Washroom
Tea houses generally have shared washroom facilities, from basic squat toilets to western flush toilets. The quality and cleanliness of washrooms may vary. We suggest you bring your toilet paper, as it's only sometimes provided.
Laundry
Laundry facilities are available in some tea houses. However, these services are limited, and it may take time for your clothes to dry in the mountain environment. Carry enough clothes to last you throughout the Trek.
Basic toiletries
Tea houses may offer basic toiletries like soap and towels, but this is not guaranteed. Bring your toiletries, including soap, shampoo, and a towel.
