Annapurna Base Camp Trek covers approximately 85-90 kilometers on the classic route. The trekking section takes 9 days, with most full walking days covering 7-12 kilometers and taking about five to seven hours. Longer stages can require seven to eight hours, and the route reaches its highest elevation at Annapurna Base Camp, 4,310 meters above sea level. Alternative Outfitter Himalaya itineraries range from approximately 65–70 kilometers with a helicopter return to 135 kilometers when ABC is combined with Mardi Himal.
The distance to Annapurna Base Camp may look modest compared with longer Himalayan treks, but kilometers alone don't describe the experience. Stone staircases, forest paths, river valleys, repeated ascents and descents, and thinner air above 3,000 meters make each day feel different.
